Privacy

Updated 22nd April 2026

We have built this site to need as little of your data as possible. No advertising trackers, no cookies for analytics, and nothing sold or shared.

Who is responsible

The publisher named on our legal notice page is responsible for data processing in connection with this website, and is your point of contact for any privacy question.

Server logs

Like virtually all websites, our hosting provider records standard technical access data (such as the requested page, the time of the request, a truncated or anonymised IP address and the type of browser). This information is used only to operate and secure the site and is not combined with other data to identify you.

Analytics

Where analytics are enabled, we use GoatCounter, a privacy-friendly, open-source analytics service. GoatCounter does not use cookies, does not track you across websites and does not collect personal data — it counts page views without building a profile of individual visitors. We use these aggregate counts only to understand which articles readers find useful.

Cookies

This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. Any cookies that may be used are strictly necessary for the site to function.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to access, correct or erase any personal data we hold about you, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details on the legal notice page. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.

Changes

We may update this notice as the site evolves. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
