Norsk Quilteforbund – The Norwegian Quilt Association – was founded in 1988 and celebrated its 15th anniversary in 2003. The Guild has grown to more than 3,000 members, holds an annual meeting with exhibitions and workshops in March every year, and contributes to the Nordic Countries meeting every third year.

The Norwegian Quilt Association has a wide co-operation with the other Nordic Countries, Denmark, Sweden and Finland. A Nordic meeting is held every third year, with exhibitions, workshops and lectures

The Association, like other Guilds, is actively involved in charity work. For instance, we donate quilts to children with cancer and other long-term illnesses who have to remain in hospital for lengthy periods of time. The children are allowed to choose a quilt to take home at the end of their stay.
