Quiltitalia is the National Patchwork and Quilting Guild. It is a non–profit association which was founded on 1996 to promote quilting arts in Italy.

At present we are 870 members and we constantly increase this number thanks to the great effort in organizing exhibitions and quilting events throughout the country.

We publish a quarterly magazine which has recently be renewed and enriched in its graphic and contents.

We try to take part to the most important textile and crafts fairs with our own stand running free classes and demonstrations.

We hope to enlarge our activity and to organize a great event which could attract quilters from all over Europe and let everybody know the quilting world.

Quilters are now spread all over the country but especially in the northern and central areas where they could also found many local associations.

From 2007 Quiltitalia organizes a National Quilting Weekend which gives members the opportunity to meet each other and exchange experiences and ideas.

Our Annual General Assembly usually takes place at the beginning of the year to present and accept the budget and the estimate . Every three year it also chooses the members of the Board.

We are sure that Patchwork will become more and more popular in Italy and will offer a new field of creative activities . Nevertheless our ancient and great artistic tradition will continue to be a source of inspiration also for those who try to express themselves with textile media.
